I pinch myself always on this incredible life on repeat and starting straight away here in 2024. A writer recently asked me if I could choose any place to return to again where would it be? My response. Home. Yes, home. As boring as that might sound, I travel the world as not a tourist, but as a traveler. I have more stamps in my double passport than most will have in a lifetime. I circle the globe fully what feels like at least once a year telling stories in the space of lifestyle for editorials and brands alike with a cinematic considered feeling of authenticity. Yes. So for me, of all the places in the world that I could go back to… I would choose home. To my little nook in my New York City life with my rock at my side making the most of incredible meals over a glass of reserved vino, at home! A dream!

The team stepped back to South America this summer as I landed in Brazil a handful of new edit and publishing work landing out soon. Starting in Sao Paulo on a whirlwind two weeks of back to back travel, shoots, dinners, and every type of transportation of course. It wouldn’t be a CHWHAT shoot without that, no? A sartorial story set to the backdrops of the muted pastel deco hued architecture of Sao Paulo. As well of famed architect Marcos architecture Milan House for editorial. Next up to the wilds of the north to a location that I have now added to my top five, taking a number two seat as the most incredible other worldly locations that I have shot and filmed. Yes, the Lençóis Maranhenses. To a last stop back on the gold coast of the lush rain forests that but up to the bounty filled waters of the coast. Incredible as always. Work to be dropping for the next six months shot here, stay tuned… x CH
BEHIND THE SCENES | SS22 | ITALIAN RIVIERA
This summer the second installment of the next Alpine Cooking book brought me back to Italy with camera in had as we hit the road for the first set of many nexts. Now, we land at fall, and I am back again. I spend nearly half of my year on the road, and call NYC home, but the range of travel offices takes the cake when it comes to being productive on the road. Needless to say my favorite hotel desk of 2022 was here deep in the sleepy mountains in Piedmonte in a village that will remain unnamed for another year until our book releases… stay tuned!
JOURNAL | YES, DETROIT
Back on the road in what seems like a dream some days, I feel like the ever evolving world of shoots and production is still constantly shifting as we all find our new footing. With that as my assistants make fun, yes the new thermometer in the camera kit, takes up way to much space! Agree! As I head back to Detroit this time for an editorial I’m beyond excited about, masked up, hand sanitizer in tow up and away. Detroit always amazes me with the heart, the passion that everyone who is creating there has. How incredible the work is that’s being done there. How there is a movement there literally happening that no one is paying attention to that’s going to be amazing and change the landscape of fashion. I feel humbled always with the relationships created, the amazing people I get to collaborate with and meet, those amazing that are really truly making change for good not their pocketbooks. This last trip was no different, even in the midst of a pandemic. Get ready for it, headed out in print for 2021.

PERSONAL | UP COUNTRY
It’s been a bit. Nearly two years! What, yes! Coming back to you with a clean new site, full of new work. With travels of recent to the Catskills, Vermont, and Lake Michigan camera in hand for incredible clients. Sometimes I feel like I travel more in one month that some people get to travel their entire lifetime. The stories I get to tell visually are always awe inspiring. Taking things to new levels this year. In the past two years since I last posted life has been a whirlwind to say the least. And everyone who has been part of that wind thank you for making it amazing. A wind that has flew high and ran low on days of high pressure and heavy tides. Back in full breeze after much needed calm, the creativity I’m feeling currently is flying with the wind flying high.
Good news if you were wondering after nearly eight years of trying to figure out how to finish my first film I started the solution has finally manifested. It’s funny how life dose that, it knows when you are ready for something bigger than you always. Heres too letting the creativity find you and letting it in. #thisamazinglife
